I know that that's a lot of questions, here's the last one. I'm using Ubuntu (resolve non-studio is working fine, no problems with being on a Debian based distro), is the dongle compatible with Linux? With the new Davanci Resolve Studio 15.2 comes in a key type activation system. I don't like having to rely on a tiny piece of plastic to use a 310$ product, but If it's the only way, I'd do it. If my concerns about the key end up to be true, one solution would be the dongle version. I have a laptop and a PC, on how many devices can I use the same key? If the key can be used multiple times, does using it on one machine invalidate the license confirmation on any other machine using the same key? Couldn't you then abuse this by activating a PC and then taking away the internet and activating another PC with the same key? Loosing the license when reinstalling the os or not being able to move it to another PC or installation would be a deal breaker for me.
It says that it only needs internet during setup. When I use the key to activate davinci resolve and then reinstall my OS, can I use the same key to activate the new installation of resolve? There's basically no way of telling that it's the same computer, it could really be any computer with the same IP. I have never bought any software where the authentication doesn't rely on an account, so I have a few questions regarding the license key: Requires an internet connection when logging in. Software license can be used without a USB license dongle. Professional software for editing, colour correction, audio post-production and visual effects - all in one application. I am planning to buy davinci resolve studio. Activation Code for DaVinci Resolve Studio Software.
